Rooney!!!! You're an ASSHOLE!!!!! |
Wolfpack:
Let's get down to business. I am going to stop the custom programming for now. From this point until further notice I suggest that we all refer to the CrossFit Mainsite http://www.crossfit.com/ for all daily programming. There is a link to the site on this blog for convenience purposes.
My reasoning is this; as much as I love getting everyone together, we need space. Without space, let's face it, the culture is hard to keep going. I know we all do our best to make it happen, what with picking up and delivering equipment, trying to w.o.d. with limited equipment and even doing the w.o.d. at all because of various schedules and our daily lives. It's a great collaborative effort, but it's difficult without a box. So thank you to everyone for all of the effort.
Currently we have one prospect for space. My contact/owner of a new boxing gym next to Holiday Market tells me that he may open his doors at the end of the month. If that occurs, we are all in at $40 per month. As I have told a few of you already, don't hold your breath. It won't be reality until it's....well until it's reality.
Don't freak out! This is not by any means the end of the Wolfpack. For those of you that have contributed financially or provided equipment or paid on-ramp fee of $100 -I will send a text message to you with the combination to my garage gym where you are always welcome to W.O.D. between the hours of 9am to 9pm 7/365.....seriously! All I ask is that you leave the space the same way you found it. The equipment is all there including the C2 and GHD. The floor is rubberized along with modular rubber for driveway W.O.D.s. I should have a pull up bar built soon and there are even a few spaces to perform some ring work. If you want to take equipment out of the garage then it must be returned same day in fairness to our crew.
And that's that.
My knee is doing great. Moving very well today. No-Resistance Spinning Bike for 15 minutes. Gymnastic Ring Progressions + L-Sits. Dead-Leg 20 Calorie Row. Limited Box Squats to 20 inch box. Limited Lateral Lunge. All in all about 40 minutes of movement including shoulder mobility. Yesterday was Handstand Push Up x10 + Toes to Bar x15 for 6 rounds w/ some seated kettlebell work as a warm-up.
Stay strong!
-Johnny
Sounds good. I hope we can find a space. Sorry I haven't been around lately, but my shoulder surgery kind of cramped my style. I still want to WOD with you guys. I'll keep checking out the blog and talking with Johnny to see what's up. There is always the School? I do have a truck with a locking tool box in the back that I could keep more equipment in? That is an option as well? I'll talk with Johnny about it and about keeping you guys posted as to where and when I'll be training at 6 am. As of now it's at the school when I train Brad. Hope to see you all soon.

ReplyDeleteI'll put the precious memories of the wolfpack in a heart shaped box for safekeeping when we are ready later. Godspeed.

ReplyDeleteFour rounds for time of:
ReplyDeleteRow 500 meters
Rest 3 minutes
16:29 (all rounds under the 2 minute mark)
Joe, You better find your ass in this garage while I'm away....there are no excuses. Same goes for those of you that have access! Stay strong or become weak! Johnny
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your knee is doing well JD, you'll be in full effect soon. I know I just started, but I'm getting addicted. I even did WODs while in the Bahamas(My Biggest Loser debut). Does anyone want to meet at Burton track on Wednesday at 6am and copy some WODs from the past? You guys know this stuff better than I do.

ReplyDeleteJay - Mike, Rob D. and myself (Randal) have been doing WOD's at Burton park this week. Doing main site stuff. Mike and I are doing a rest day on Wednesday 8/17, but will be at the Dondero Track on Thursday for the 5K that's now posted on the CF main site. Rob said he's doing the 5K on Wednesday. We'll be there at 6AM Thursday the 18th.
ReplyDeleteTo all, I get the group txts, but don't have many of the numbers linked with names. My number ends in 6563 if you want to reach out.
Also, Mike has another blog going that re-posts main site workouts and gives everyone a place to record their results and stay in touch. Check it out at:

It's there to help try and keep the group together. I know the 'group' aspect of this has helped me commit with sticking to it and because of that making progress.
